But I did not know about microplastics in my salt. Thank goodness now I'm aware. I took a handful of this delicious, mildly spicy, mildly sweet cereal, with crisp flakes that stand up well to milk (sourced from local cows who live wherever they want to and are asked permission to be milked and fairly compensated for their time and effort) and meticulously broke it down element by element, to the molecular level, until I got to the subatomic salt particles. All I saw was healthy, mineral-rich sea salt. The tasty turmeric, however, had a shocking amount of negative vibes that I'm now concerned about. Darn. This *was* my favorite cereal.... **Q: Why does the product say gluten free when ingredients say barley malt extract?** A: Barley malt extract is used to enhance flavours in foods like breakfast cereals and chocolates. Because it's used in very small quantities, the end product usually contains 20 parts per million (ppm) of gluten or less, meaning it can be legally labelled gluten free. **Q: This is the only cereal I eat; is it still in production?** A: `It is the only cereal I eat also. I checked on Natures Path web site and it is not in production at the moment. I'm hoping it will be soon since I have one serving left. It's a great cereal. **Q: What is the current expirarion date?** A: 2023. OCT 18 I tried to take a picture, but I’m all thumbs. Trust me. I’ve been purchasing Heritage Flakes for some time now.
