I don't notice any diff between "towing" mode and "xs economy" mode. But I've gained 3-4 mpg, and hiway driving is much improved. On grades where my pu used to down shift, it no longer does, and it maintains a more constant speed when cruise is set. I would have given it 5 stars, but you can't change modes on the fly. It takes about 6 min of being stopped and reprogramming the veh! Not bad, but if you occasionally tow a heavy trailer, it can be frustrating.I think it was well worth it! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ HOWEVER I get better MPG with it set to "performance" *by A***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2015* Dont ask me why becasue I simply do not know, HOWEVER I get better MPG with it set to "performance". Also, the "towing" setting is not advisable if you are doing mountain climbs because it will cause engine to get hotter than if you leave it in stock. This is all only from my personal experience with 2003 Ram diesel. The ability to change wheel size to make speedometer accurate is great.WHile it does let you see DTC and clear them it does not let you see when DTC was created. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love this tuner. *by S***H on Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2013* Came on time took it out of the package downloaded the update software from Superchips updated the programmer and had absolutely no trouble getting it to program my truck. I even like the way you can enable manual high idle which is nice if you want your truck to warm up right away! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for some added power you can feel at the pedal and yes it will make it smoke when you floor it just make sure to watch your fuel pressure because it is a performance add on and its always smart to have gauges and necessary pre-reqs as well.
