Yes, it is fragile in the sense you have to be careful with the VHF dipoles. Twisting them 360 degrees will result in them feeling very loose and possible breaking internally. However, this little antenna way outperforms its price point. At first I had this sitting on my tv stand behind the tv. I received all the channels I was supposed to, but it was difficult to dial in Fox 2 without having some pixelation on CBS 62. I remembered seeing a YouTube review of this antenna by Tyler the antenna man where he showed it being folded flat to mount in a window or to a wall. So I did that as you can see in the photo and put it in the window that is next to my tv stand. This totally changed everything. My TCL TV not only measures signal strength, but there is also a signal quality meter. Signal quality is the most important to prevent pixelation and dropouts. I have better than 60% signal quality on every channel with the antenna in the windows and I am about 20 miles from all the towers here in the Detroit area. This is working so good I was able to split the signal with two different 2 way splitters using my existing Dish Network wiring and feed 3 tv’s in 3 different rooms all without a pre-amp or signal booster. The dipoles bring in my local VHF channels, and the UHF loop does the rest. The TV and this antenna are both in my apartment kitchen, an interior room with no windows. I still manage to pull in over 40 channels. All the broadcast towers are within 20 miles. Some are fewer than 10 miles away. I sometimes have to play with the antenna's location and orientation as atmospheric conditions change; but that's normal for small indoor antennas. I "cut my teeth" on small indoor antennas in the 1960s.
