You can add disks as per your need. I had used an old hard disk I had lying at home which started failing. I replaced it with a new one and the NAS managed to recover all the information.Performance is totally acceptable over the connected home WiFi router.Kodi on my Android TV works great with this acting as the network media storage device.Apr 2022 Update - I have switched from Kodi on my Android TV to Plex from the ReadyNAS 214 to avoid using the limited storage on the TV. Plex server on the NAS is working well... occasionally it slows down and takes time to start a video, but overall is okay. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Very good device and good performance - worst support from netgear *by P***N on Reviewed in India on 24 October 2017* Very good device and good performance. Remote option can be implemented but need to get separate software. 4 star due to app which never works.Update in 2021Device is having issues with Nic and net gear did not mention this. Looks like you should not keep this running 24x7 or more precisely connected to power even after shutdown which heats and damages nic.I raised ticket but Helpdesk did not respond and now my warranty is gone.Less stars due to no proper supportUpdate in 2022I tried to reach netgear support to get paid support for NIC failure and replacement.Helpdesk is pathetic and no support provided.. I have been going on in loop for 2 weeks before I gave up.Donot buy netgear products, better to do DIY kits or any other vendor.
