I had a bad front wheel bearing on a 2002 f-150 and needed to pull the hub/ push the axel out. Initially the hydraulic pump would not really hold pressure. It would force the ram out and the collapse. Before purging the line and refilling with fluid I decided to just rapidly pump it to see how far out the ram would go. Doing so seemed to have primed the system and the ram functioned from there onward.After toying around with jaw post, I found a good fit for my particular hub. I pumped and pumped and pumped but my axel was really seized in there. The supplied handle just didn’t feel big enough. I had some bar stock that fit in it’s place that offered me a bit more leverage. After really laying into the larger handle a couple times the axel finally broke loose with a beautiful, loud pop.When I was disassembling the tool for storage I did notice the main threads on tool weren’t cut real cleanly. This caused the jaw base to seize. I broke it loose with a couple light taps from a hammer. While spinning off the base I had some metal slivers from the poorly cut threads imbed themselves in my fingertips. After tweezing them out I chased the threads with a file.The tool did what I needed it to do at a very reasonable price. I’ve been lazy and haven’t replaced the other hub assembly yet but I’m sure it’ll do the job when I need it to (plus that side came off easily enough when I changed a lower ball joint).This isn’t a professional quality tool but it should do the job for most home mechanics. While using it I did wonder if maybe I should have bought a stronger version. But in the end it worked. I would recommend chasing the threads with a file and lubricating them before use. Even with the threads and the hydraulic ram not functioning properly out of the box it still did the job for me after minimal work. Quality, value, and price considered, it’s an honest 3 of 5. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 worth buying. *by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2020* So this puller is amazing for how cheap it is. I bought this after breaking three different pullers in my 5.3 harmonic balancer. The jaws are strong, strong enough to crack the outer balancer ring.I ended up having to run a chain around the balancer and bolted up to the two prongs on the puller and it worked like a champ even with heat the seals held up and it pulled that seized balancer with a little effort.
