Review: Worked great on my leather jacket - I got this to touch up my black leather jacket. It worked great. My jacket looks like new again. The black colour matched perfectly. It would have been very convenient if there had been an applicator attached to the cap though. I used a gauze pad to apply it. Do not get this stuff on your hands as it's hard to get off. Use a disposable glove. This dye is a very good dye and I recommend it.

The product applied smoothly, easily covered the flap stain and renewed the handbag with richer color and shine. I also used the Pro Dye on the previously orange-brown leather ends of a new embroidered cross-body strap -- it matched nicely. The Pro Dye is a great product -- it went on evenly, dried quickly, left a nice finish and has not rubbed off. I used about 1/4 of a 4oz bottle, with a fair amount of product absorbed by the polyester sherpa scrap I used as an applicator. Should have just bought an applicator. Overall, I'm satisfied with the results of one coat. Worth it!!

**Q: How many ounces would I need to do a whold couch?**
A: I used one and one half quarts to do two coats on a full size leather recliner.  I'd look online or call Tandy Leather but if not, I'd estimate 3 quarts for a 'love seat' and maybe 4 quarts for a full size six-foot couch.  The biggest variable is the porosity and general condition of the leather.  After deglazing, if the leather was maintained and hasn't been dried out from neglect, you might end up using just 1/2 or 2/3 of the amount I'm suggesting.

**Q: How many oz do I need for a medium/ large handbag?**
A: The smallest container will do more than one english saddle. Very easy process and works super well.  Did not come off on my breeches after dying. Great product.

**Q: Everyone talk about Leather how about Vinyl will work on Vinyl**
A: I have used this dye on vinyl with excellent results. You HAVE to use the cleaner they sell as well. Also, depending on what the project is, using resolene after to seal and protect is highly recommended, especially on vinyl. Ive also used this dye on white “man made” dress shoes to transform them to black. Took two coats, but its yet to come off with weekly wear and over two years ago.

**Q: Can this be stored in a garage in Texas in the summertime?**
A: Stores well in my garage in Arkansas summer. Depending on how much you have left in the bottle. A smaller amount left in the bottle would most likely dry out if left unused for a period of time.

Flows easily, penetrates deeply, and colors evenly and completely. Expecting it to be durable. Instructions call for application of the dye while the leather is still damp from removing old polish/finish with Fiebing's No 12 Deglazer.
