Perhaps on a smaller project where you are going to be looking at it more close up it would yield better results? I was making a stenciled chalkboard sign for a local business. I have used vinyl stencils with other paints and never had issues. I spent more time than I care to admit testing this product out. My first attempt, I went over it with many layers due to the fact that one layer barely even shows up on the black chalkboard. I let it dry, and when I peeled the stencil away, it tore half the chalk ink with it. it was stuck to the edges. It looked absolutely terrible. For my next attempt, I used one very light coat and peeled the vinyl away while it was still not completely dry. This yielded better results in terms of the ink not sticking to the vinyl, but the one layer was barely visible.I did one final attempt and tried to split the difference. I did two layers of ink, and removed the vinyl while the ink wasn't entirely dried. Still not pleased with the results, but it was probably the best I'll get out of it. At the end of the day I ended up freehanding with chalk markers. Not what I had expected in terms of quality, and I'm not sure exactly how you could get better results out of it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ For use on non-porous surfaces only *by S***D on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 26, 2017* I bought this liquid chalk to try on fabric. I thought it might be an easy way to mark quilts but the chalk and the liquid is absorbed into the fabric as it drys leaving no marking behind. As this was as experiment I cannot say that I was dissappointed in the product since I was not using it on a non-porous surface (is that a double negative?). As a product it was easy to use and rinsed off of my templates easily. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A little disappointing, but still usable. *by A***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 11, 2014* This is really cool idea, but it's not perfect. I used it to stencil on homemade chalkboard ornaments Here's the breakdown: Cons: - it's too wet and runny - it leaks under the stencil. I had to dab it onto a plate and use a foam brush to tap it off and THEN put it on the stencil. Pros: - it washes off when it leaks under the stencil.I had imagined that it would be dry like chalk and not runny like thinned down paint. I had to apply it in about 3-4 thin coats to make it white enough. I'm an old hand at stenciling and the best stencil paints are thicker and dryer.
