**Q: Would this printer work with metal paper?**
A: Yes the thermal transfer printers will print metal foil type labels that are mate finish foil or glossy foil finish.

**Q: can you print good weather proof labels with this printer. Like the ones used on cars in wrecking yards**
A: Yes, but that comes down to more of the material of the label and the type of ribbon you are using.  You will want a synthetic or film label and a resin only type ribbon (not wax) to stand a chance for it to face the weather.  Another option would be to print out the label and then put a sealer over it.
