Crafted from injection-molded polyethylene, it offers flexible yet sturdy support that fits discreetly inside compatible shoes. Featuring a moldable, trimmable footplate and adjustable hook-and-loop closures, this brace delivers customizable comfort and secure fit for daily walking and exercise, all while maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive profile. ## Description Brace On Swedish AFO Brace for Foot Drop is a lightweight, low-profile stabilizer made for a woman's left foot. Its frame is formed from injection-molded polyethylene, combining a flexible structure with less bulk inside compatible footwear. The calf section follows the lower leg, while the footplate extends beneath the foot to create one connected frame. Adjustable hook-and-loop closures let the wearer position and fine-tune how the brace sits. This exact configuration is left-side specific, so checking the selected foot before use is important. As an AFO ankle brace for foot drop, it is built specifically for the women's left-foot configuration. For this exact women's left-foot variant, the moldable, trimmable footplate allows the lower section to be shaped for a closer match with the shoe. Trimming should preserve a smooth edge and enough room for the foot, sock, and brace to sit together without crowding. The low-profile frame can fit inside many everyday shoes and remain discreet beneath trousers, although available space varies by footwear style. Before walking, confirm that the heel is seated, the footplate lies flat, and each hook-and-loop closure is adjusted without pinching. This Swedish AFO combines a lightweight polyethylene frame, adjustable closures, and an adaptable footplate in one wearable design. The side-specific shape keeps the women's left-foot selection clear throughout setup and regular wear. Its low-profile construction fits beneath clothing and inside compatible footwear for daily movement, walking, or exercise. Follow the package directions for molding, trimming, placement, fastening, cleaning, and care. Check the frame and closures before wear, and ask a qualified professional if fit or use questions require individual guidance. Review: Light weight, sturdy, relatively comfortable, but quality control needs work - The braces were for my foot drop, and while they're well made, clearly supportive, and definitely affordable, the quality control could use some work- Shown in the photos, you can see that the left brace had a single strap at the top, but the right brace had two straps- one near the ankle, and another at the top. All straps are merely glued onto the plastic brace with industrial strength adhesive. I'm not sure what this means in terms of strength or use and wear and tear from prolonged usage. There is nothing to hold the foot into the brace- I'd have to install more velcro straps, using similar adhesive or even rivets to hold the velcro straps in. The provided straps are far, far too long, and were perhaps intended so users could cut the straps shorter when needed. Understood, but as they are, they are ridiculously long. As they are, and as they're intended, they're perfectly fine. They're sturdy, flexible, comfortable and easy to customize for each individual's specific needs. Note that I did take out the original shoe's inserts- the soft, spongy footbed insert/insole in order to get the braces to fit inside my shoes. Review: Save your $$$ and time - This product is very poorly designed. I have Drop Foot on my left foot. first off, It did not fit in my shoe correctly, and uncomfortable to wear. The worst part was that the part of the brace that rests on your calf is tight and the velcro is not strong at all. I could not get the strap to stay in place. It kept on popping off. This could have been very unsafe. The only good thing about this product is that the strap was long enough to go around my calf giving me the option to trim it if I wanted. ## Features - Lightweight Polyethylene: This Swedish AFO uses injection-molded polyethylene to form a flexible, low-profile frame for regular movement. The lightweight construction fits inside compatible shoes without adding a boot-style outer layer - Women's Left-Foot Fit: This exact configuration is shaped for a woman's left foot, keeping the audience and side clear before use. The calf section, ankle area, and footplate align as one side-specific frame when positioned in compatible footwear - Moldable Footplate: The footplate can be molded and trimmed for a close. This adaptable section sits beneath the foot while preserving the low-profile shape of the Swedish AFO stabilizer during regular wear - Hook-And-Loop Closures: Adjustable hook-and-loop closures secure the frame and allow the fit to be fine-tuned before wear. The fastening points make the brace easier to position, adjust, and remove while keeping the side-specific structure aligned - Designed for Shoe Wear: The low-profile frame is intended to sit inside compatible footwear and remain discreet beneath clothing. Check shoe space, footplate placement, closure adjustment, and women's left-foot selection before walking or exercising ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07BVLJCRC | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #87,901 in Health & Household ( See Top 100 in Health & Household ) #78 in Foot Supports | | Brand | Brace On | | Brand Name | Brace On | | Closure Type | Hook & Loop | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 3.6 out of 5 stars 470 Reviews | | Included Components | Foot Brace | | Item Dimensions | 9.5 x 4 x 10.5 inches | | Item Form | Brace | | Item Highlight | Moldable Trimmable Footplate, Adjustable Hook and Loop Closures, Low-Profile Frame, Fits Inside Compatible Shoes | | Item Weight | 4 ounces | | Manufacturer | Brace On | | Material | Plastic | | Number of Items | 1 | | Part Number | unknown | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Size | 1 Count (Pack of 1) | | Special Features | Lightweight | | Specific Uses For Product | Foot Drop, Foot Support | | Sport Type | Walking | | Target Use Body Part | Feet | | UPC | 726481270939 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Use for | Feet | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** Brace On - **Size:** 1 Count (Pack of 1) - **Specific Uses For Product:** Foot Drop, Foot Support - **Use for:** Feet ## Images ![Brace On Swedish Polyethylene AFO Ankle Brace for Women's Left Foot Drop - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/518sCxFKlNL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Light weight, sturdy, relatively comfortable, but quality control needs work *by O***D on October 30, 2019* The braces were for my foot drop, and while they're well made, clearly supportive, and definitely affordable, the quality control could use some work- Shown in the photos, you can see that the left brace had a single strap at the top, but the right brace had two straps- one near the ankle, and another at the top. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More comfortable than I'd expected! *by W***Y on April 11, 2023* This light-weight brace helps keep my foot positioned correctly as I walk, without unduly limiting the action of my ankle. I was concerned that the foot plate would be too flat, since my orthotic would not fit either inside or beneath it in my athletic shoe, but it has enough built-in arch support to prevent my plantar's fasciitis from kicking up (though it might not be the right amount for everyone). I do want a little padding from ankle socks when I wear it. And I put some moleskin cloth on the inside of the calf panel to keep my skin from sticking to the plastic. But overall, it's relatively easy-on, easy-off, particularly when I leave the brace in the shoe and simply unfasten both the shoe and the velcro straps to slip my foot out. In putting it back on, the calf portion of the brace acts as a kind of shoehorn, letting me slip the foot back into place before retying the shoe and fastening the two velcro straps. The straps are quite long; I shortened mine and added another bit of velcro to avoid having extra-long pieces flapping around between my calves. ## Frequently Bought Together - BraceOn AFO Foot Drop Brace - Swedish Drop Foot Stabilizer for Walking and Exercise, Foot and Ankle Support, Women, Left - Brace On AFO – Swedish Deluxe - Drop Foot Stabilizer, Moldable, Trimmable, Lightweight Polyethylene (Women, Left) - Brace On AFO S-Type - Drop Foot Stabilizer, Moldable, Trimmable, Lightweight Polyethylene with Padding and Buckle Closure, Women, Left --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/74641596-brace-on-swedish-polyethylene-afo-ankle-brace-for-womens-left](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/74641596-brace-on-swedish-polyethylene-afo-ankle-brace-for-womens-left) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
