Review: Gorgeous colors, this deck gives plenty of scope for intuition - I just received this deck today and I love it! I love the old-world style of drawing and the gorgeous, muted colors. I love the expressive faces and postures of the various figures. Some cards are so downright gorgeous and mystical that I could meditate on them for hours (examples: Le Stelle- the Star, and La Luna- The Moon). I like the card stock. Yes, it's a bit thin and glossy like regular playing cards, but it makes it easy to shuffle. They fit well in my hand. The design on the back of the cards features beautiful multicolored leaves and scrolls, and is reversible if you use reversed cards (I don't). The cards are almost borderless; there is just a thin line drawn around the perimeter of each card. I prefer borderless cards as it's easy to see the connections between cards without a distracting border. One of my first decks was a Marseille deck which, like this deck, did not have separate pictures for the pip cards, just the requisite number of images of that suit (e.g. 6 cups, 4 swords, etc). That bothered me as I was new to Tarot and didn't have the meanings memorized, so I put it aside. But now I'm finding I love that this deck's pip cards are not illustrated. It enables me to use my intuition without being bound to the images. Just be aware that this is how they are done. Sometimes clients don't like this as they can't relate visually to just an abstract group of symbols. For the most part, there is very little scenery on these cards, primarily the central figure and a few extra touches. There is lots of room for intuition to come into play. One thing I don't like about this deck is that the High Priestess here is "La Papessa"-- The Papess, or female Pope, wearing a beehive papal mitre. It is too similar to The "Il Papa" card (the Pope or Hierophant). I consider the High Priestess to have a very different energy from the Hierophant and wish that was depicted better here. But I know there is an old tradition behind the Papess card and I can adjust. A couple of other points: mine came in a slightly different box from the one pictured. Mine is green, with the Chariot on the front and the Empress on the back. The Little White Book gives card interpretations which are often quite different from the traditional RWS interpretations, especially for the pip cards. And finally, at the beginning of the LWB, there is a picture of a spread using 7 cards, called the "Veil" spread. However, the description for how to interpret this spread only mentions three cards! Too bad because the premise of the spread-- what is keeping the querent from seeing the truth about a situation-- interested me. I will try it with 3 cards, but I'm intrigued as to why 7 cards are pictured and wonder what THAT spread is supposed to be. Really beautiful deck. Can't stop picking this deck up and looking at it. I know it's going to be my new go-to deck!
Review: Magnificent - This is a beautiful deck. The colors are lovely, the card backs are beautiful, the size is excellent, the art work is amazing. I'm so glad I bought this deck. The most beautiful Italian Marseille style tarot deck I've found. Don't hesitate to buy it. The price is great for such an awesome deck. You can't beat it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Soprafino Marseille
*by M***1 on May 13, 2023*

This is my first historic Marseille deck and it did not disappoint. By far the best reproduction of the Soprafino. The line work is clean and crisp and the color palette is pleasing. Card stock is sturdy but flexible. It keeps its shape even if you’re a riffle shuffler. It does have a printers smell to it but I’m not sensitive to odors so it didn’t bother me. I wish it came in a better box other than a tuck box because something this pretty deserves it. I have kept the cellophane wrap on my box and opened it from the top carefully with an artists blade. This should keep the box protected from wear and tear a bit longer than without. I do this with most of my LoScarabeo decks. Overall I’m glad I found this deck before it potentially goes out of print. Loved it so much I bought a second copy.
