The MFJ-993B IntelliTuner™ is a powerful automatic antenna tuner with a built-in SWR/wattmeter, dual antenna switch, and a 4:1 current balun. It tunes from 1.8 to 30 MHz and handles up to 300 watts (6–1,600 ohms) or 150 watts (6–3,200 ohms). MFJ’s InstantRecall™, IntelliTune™, and AdaptiveSearch™ algorithms ensure fast tuning—usually under 5 seconds—with over 20,000 non-volatile memories. Each of the two antenna ports supports four memory banks, each storing 2,500+ tuner settings. **Q: Do these tune cb base radios?**
A: better to just tune antenna, this just does not work

**Q: Does this mfj-993b tuner come with a power-cord that i can use to connect to my 13v power-supply?**
A: Yes, it does include a power cable to connect to a DC supply.  However, this tuner has known problems displaying average power when operating SSB mode.  Your average power readings will be much lower that actual average power.  Other than that, it's a good product.  You may also have to re-install some loose screws or other things MFJ leaves loose!

**Q: Do I have to run some kind of ground on the ground connection on back of unit?**
A: It’s best to ground your whole station to a ground rod.

**Q: The tuner brings the power cord?**
A: The tuner comes with a power cord that connects to your power supply. You can buy a wall supply also. If you want the auto tuner to work off the radio you need a radio interface for your radio to tuner. But it will tune in manual without the interface cable. KI5JZI
