Thankfully I did it in the sink, and used a pair of pliers to remove part of the seal. Gave up on using my fingers since I knew I'd end up staining by hand and clothes. I did a quick test in some milk, and at first it had a greenish tinge, but after blending the color turned more blue. It did not want to blend into the milk, still had lose bits left at the edges and bottom.
