Sadly for me, I had to fly all the way to Greece to find out that my very standard (and confirmed 1800 Watt) hair dryer would not work. Maybe it was my dryer? you ask. So did I. That's why I tried my friend's mini hair iron which was *also* listed at 1800 Watts... MAX. Confirmed from the manufacturer and written on the mini curler. No dice. Both products snap crackled and POPPED before completely shutting themselves down. The settings were all correct, the instructions had all been followed.
