Works best with bleached or light hair and I use the shampoo about twice a week (once a week would probably be fine) which reignites the colour, but wouldn’t say you need to dye it any colours before for it to work! Very bright color lasts surprisingly long time. *by L***M on 18 June 2026* I bought this to do some temporary color on bleached hair, thinking maybe it would wash out to a nice toner to cancel out some yellowy orange blonde. Well. It is EXTREMELY effective at dyeing, so much so that it has stained my white shower tile and tub. I applied it to my hair once, left it on for 15 minutes and washed, and have been washing about every day since for 2 weeks. My hair is still a pretty bright lavender purple, and my shampoo is a purple tint when I wash.
