I have now switched over from the microwaveable eye mask I previously used at home, and use this rechargeable eye mask both at home and for travel. I use it at the highest heat setting for 15 minutes almost every day. The microwaveable eye masks start hot but quickly cool off; this maintains an even temperature throughout the treatment period. My eyes are definitely less irritated since I switched to using this daily. This works flawlessly. It provides even heat for 15 minutes; you can choose from three different temperature settings. It's very comfortable. The manufacturer says you can get four 15-minute sessions from one charge; I did not test that. This unit provides dry heat. I don't think this mask is worth it for $50...It lasted about 6 months, I thought it was great and then it started not holding the charge. Now I don't use it at all except as a regular mask that is not heated. I'm glad it is not available anymore to people don't have to waste their money....
