This antenna is almost identical to what used to be included in the box with 1970's and 1980's stereo receivers. I was struggling to get good reception on a classical station about 40 miles away with a lesser antenna, but once I hooked it up, I suddenly had great signal strength and clarity. I liked the antenna so much I promptly bought a second one for another vintage receiver I own.
