When I checked, CMOS battery dead was a common cause for their death. I ordered one of these, plugged it in, and now I am typing this review on it. The little plastic connector was tough to get in right, but they deliberately make these laptops to not be servicable. I'm not blaming the battery on that. Good value? I guess so.
