## Description

desertcart.com : Mountain Valley Seed Co No-Till Winter Rye Cover Crop Seeds - 5 Lb | ~90,000 Seeds - Non-GMO , Cold-hardy, heirloom Fall or spring sow : Patio, Lawn & Garden

Review: The seed is sprouting - Had some outside work done in early December with walkway and front porch, yard in area was torn up by equipment used. Ordered the Winter Rye to throw on the now bare and torn up lawn-the rye is now about an inch high, and should continue through MId Spring, at which time, i plan to resod area adjacent to new walkway and porch. The stuff was not cheap, but it does work, and if you have lawn torn up in late Fall or early Winter, the Winter Rye is the best for getting the ground covered and for holding the soil from washing away. Another use is for helping replenish your garden's nutrients by planting rye in Fall and then plowing or hoeing it all in before planting garden the next year. Last, this Winter Rye seed was high quality, i have used Winter several other times, and this was the best quality rye i have ever bought.
Review: Great product! - I spread this non-perennial seed hold together some soil that I did not want to wash away in the winter. It came up in maybe 5 days and it's holding everything together. I realized it's going to die in spring, but that's okay by then of the grass I'll take over
