FST2** A: The combs are plastic, and pretty tough. I have put one of the combs through about 30 hours of tough work, about 100 square feet of coil area, and the comb is still in very good shape. Mine did not work for my car's AC condensor, the fins were too far apart for the tool even at the 16 setting.
