So members of the highly classified U.S. Special Operations Forces known as MACV-SOG carried their unique combat knives into the jungle with their secret missions. Years later, in 1986, the knife gave inspiration to a young designer called Spencer Leatherer, and founded the SOG specialty knife. What started as a single commemorative model quickly became a full line of innovative tools. Proven in the field by the U.S. Special Forces and referred to as the chosen Navy Seal Knife. Today, SOG knives are carried with confidence in the most demanding conditions. Forged from tradition, hardened in the field, polished for you. ## Features - SEAL XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / - Brand: SOG - Manufacturer: GSM Outdoors ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Asin | B09P8WWXW7 | | Blade Edge | Clip Point | | Blade Length | 4 Inches | | Blade Material | Stainless Steel | | Blade Shape | Partially serrated with locking clip point (with thumb ho) | | Brand Name | SOG | | Color | mulch | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (70) 4.7 out of 5 stars | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Black GRN | | Included Components | SEAL XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / | | Is Product Cordless | Yes | | Item Length | 1.75 Inches | | Item Type Name | SEAL XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / | | Item Weight | 272 g | | Manufacturer | GSM Outdoors | | Model Name | SEAL XR | | Model Number | SOG-12-21-05-57 | | Number Of Items | 1 | | Part Number | SOG-12-21-05-57 | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Recommended Uses For Product | Bushcrafting, Camping, Fighting, Fishing, Hunting, Skinning | | Size | 102 mm | | Special Features | Water Resistant | | Style | Seal Xr | | Theme | Tactical | | Upc | 729857013666 | ## Product Details - **スタイル:** Seal Xr - **ハンドル材質:** ブラックGRN。 - **色:** マルチ - **製品の推奨用途:** キャンプ, スキニング, ハンティング, ファイティング, ブッシュクラフト, 釣り ## Images ![Seal XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51qW1yzY4WL.jpg) ![Seal XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51zjmCverYL.jpg) ![Seal XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51lhPsxO5HL.jpg) ![Seal XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/517AKdHX7gL.jpg) ![Seal XR - Partially Serrated - Made in USA / - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/616b6MIhTiL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great knife & fix *by on Reviewed in the United States February 20, 2025* Eagle Scout here. This is a solid knife. Sharp, rust resistant, the locking mechanism is strong. I am not an expert in knife making, but it can take what you give it to eat. Serrations is best for this blade if you looked at the other plain fillet blade xr.Blade flip jam - People have reported the blade lock up. It did on mine Just get mineral oil, soak it. (Careful slick...wear gloves) Clean it off. Then I applied gun oil with a needle nose (high heat) to the locking mechanism where the release is inside and out and to any part that moves. Open close. Repeat if it still won't open. Requires maintenance like anything else.Yes I would take it on the trail. However I'd still have a fixed blade and multitool. Always.Cons "EDC" slightly heavy in pocket, a little chunky. No snaggle tooth. That being said an equitable trade imo.SOG thanks for not making trash with bad metal anymore. Made in USA is mainly why I bought it besides being a very cool design. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent build quality. *by on Reviewed in the United States September 17, 2026* Excellent knife! Beefy and solid. Feels like I can depend on it. If you want something lightweight, this is not for you. A+ ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredibly well built, solid knife. *by on Reviewed in the United States May 23, 2026* Incredibly well built, solid knife. It's a big one so if you're looking for a small, concealable EDC this may not be the one but if you need a real knife for work, military, outdoors or just like large blades this is the way to go. Every part of it is well designed & very high quality. Came very sharp from the box & the lock is extremely secure. Even though it's big it can still be kept pocket clipped without too much trouble. Always been a fan of SOG and this did not disappoint. ## Frequently Bought Together - SOG High-Performance Duty S35VN Steel Ambidextrous Carry EDC 3.9" Sharp Blade Seal XR - SOG Countertop Knife Sharpener | Effortless Precision Sharpening for Sog Knives | Ideal for Maintaining Razor-Sharp Edge - SOG Escape Tactical Folding Knife- 3.4 Inch Serrated Edge Blade Emergency Pocket Knife with Glass Breaker, Wire Stripper and Line Cutter Blades-Black (FF25-CP) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/733130700-seal-xr-partially-serrated-made-in-usa](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/733130700-seal-xr-partially-serrated-made-in-usa) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-28*
