I wouldn't say that the dress is too big because that particular style dress is supposed to fit loosely like in the 20's. The first time I tried it on wasn't crazy about it but then I put on taller heels and booty pads and ladies I loved the look absolutely perfect for the price and the occasion! And my fiancé loves it! I needed to have something for a speakeasy themed dinner, so I ordered this. I wear a 6 in most clothes, but the measurements made me decide to order a medium. I am glad I did. It fit just right. I am afraid the small would have been too tight. I wore it tonight and it worked well, but I did find a small problem I had not thought about. There are two layers. The top is sheer and has the fringe attached. The under one is similar to a slip. The dress part came just above my knee and the fringe came to about mid shin. The problem is going to the bathroom! That's a lot of fabric to get out of the way - and then there is the fringe! Getting everything back into place is a challenge as well!
