They are so thin that they slide out of your hand easily AND the face is made of glass! This time I bought a protective case. I liked the older version better, even if it wasn’t a “touch screen” ### ⭐ Tracking/swiping is inaccurate *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2018* I suggest thinking twice before buying this product. After 2 months of use, the tracking on the menu is inaccurate and difficult to select menu items. It has become nearly unusable. Additionally, I question its authenticity. The packaging was flimsy and definitely not Apple. While some people have had luck with this product, I didn’t. At a minimum, try it out, but save the packaging in case you want to return it. ### ⭐⭐ Classic Example of Get what you pay for *by D***A on Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2019* Replacing a damaged remote is never fun, this isn’t going to make it any easier. I had a damaged but working remote as opposed to fully broken and decided to roll the dice with the cheapest option. Boy was that a mistake.Couple of items to be very aware of before you order this remote.1. Shipping time. It was not obvious to me until I got all the way through the order but the shipping time on this item is extreme, you will be waiting a month to receive the item.2. Question on authenticity and I will qualify this saying I have no idea if the company holds a license or not. Packing is definitely not something Apple would approve of and I was under the impression that all 4th generation remotes had the raised ridge around the Siri button.3. DOA. The remote I received paired successfully and lasted less then an hour before it was the proverbial brick. I will detail the step I followed below for troubleshooting.4. Return. This item does not qualify under the typical Amazon return policy and based upon the email received from the vendor I am expected to send it back at my own cost which is probably 25-50% of the original purchase price.Update to the original review, although I did have issues with the remote the customer support was quite responsive and they have reimbursed me to include the return shipping.Pairing methodology.1. Charged NEW remote for two hours2. Followed normal process of pairing and successfully activated the NEW remote.3. Came back an hour later and the remote was dead and I re-paired the ORG remote.4. Placed the NEW remote on a different charging setup overnight used by my iPad.5. Verified the battery charge of the ORG remote through the Apple TV interface and verified the percentage charge listed.6. Verified that the ORG remote charged to 100% of the same charging system used in step 1.7. Attempted unsuccessfully several times to pair the NEW remote against the Apple TV within one inch of the unit.Based upon this I would conclude that the battery on the unit was never working and the original time that I had working was whatever power was in the unit from the original manufacture.
