They are perfect for strapping down kayaks and other things which can be damaged by ratchet straps. I love them. **Q: What’s the shortest length this can connect and still tighten?** A: 25”-26” from anchor point to anchor point will leave you enough space to stretch the power band. Any less space will not leave sufficient room to tighten. Thanks for the great question! **Q: Can an occupied wheelchair be secured in a vehicle using these straps?** A: If a regular ratchet strap is used to secure the wheelchair, this product can be used. And it’s probably less time consuming than a regular ratchet strap. Not sure why someone said they couldn’t be used for your purposes. **Q: How would these do if used to tied down a dirtbike in the bed of a truck?** A: Truthfully, any cam-buckle pull strap will do well for this because your dirt bike has suspension and will compress nicely as you tighten. That’s actually where the inspiration came from when we developed TorkStrap!
