This is to be expected if it’s been sitting in a cold warehouse for a month or longer prior to shipment. I put mine on the Genius 1 charger it showed red and turned to green in about 8 hours. It’s a great battery but definitely invest in the Genius 1 lithium charger and maybe the quick attachment so you don’t need to use the alligator clips that come with the charger. **Q: Is it possible to attach standard cylindrical posts?** A: Yes you can it comes with adaptable posts **Q: Can I use this to power a 12 volt power vac pool cleaner ?** A: It depends on the specs of the pool cleaner. This Battery has a 13AH lead acid equivalent. Divide the13 by the amps of your pool cleaner to see how long the battery will last. Say the pool cleaner pulls 2 amps. 13/2 = 6.5.
