Remember, however, that as soon as it dries completely, you need to treat the entire surface to a good waxing...this is a restorative and not wood protection. For that, you need a good quality wax. **Q: will this remove softned finish from a pine desk top or watermarks from cabinet doors?** A: It won't remove the finish it wont strip the finish. It will blend with the existing finish and create a Restoration of the existing finish. Watermarks yes....as you read the product description I believe, there is mention of watermarks.
