Review: It worked - I owned this less than a week when my wife called me and said our daughter had left the ground effects lights on in her car all night and her battery was dead. I was too far away to be of any assistance, but I told my wife the Sharmeal Jump Starter was in my Jeep parked in the garage at home. Neither one of them had ever jump started a car before. But, my wife was able to read the included instructions and they got the car started on the first try with the Sharmeal Jump Starter. My daughter then called me later and asked for a Sharmeal Jump Starter for her birthday. It seems a little light weight and I wasn't sure if it was really going to work when I received it. The battery came almost fully charged. It was easy to plug in and finish charging it to 100%. The thing is small enough that it fits in my Jeep's center console with ease. And it has already proven it has enough power to jump start a four cylinder engine. I feel like it has already paid for itself. The only thing about it that bothers me is I just don't like keeping a lithium battery in my hot vehicle. I am planning on purchasing a fire bag to put it in just for my own peace of mind.

Then it jumped up to 100% after maybe another 20 minutes or so. It seems like the gauge may just take some time to catch up. I ordered this after I broke my Jeep and the battery died because it ended up sitting longer than I anticipated. I chose this one because it was the only one under $200 that I could get same day. It arrived fast, but I was honestly so nervous this wasn't going to work that I ended up putting it off for days because I just didn't want to deal with returning it and finding something else. I finally decided it was time to stop procrastinating, and I was absolutely shocked that my Jeep fired right up! After jump starting, the battery still reads 100%. This is what makes me think maybe the gauge isn't super accurate. Some reviews state that it only works a few times. Even if that's true, this is still 100% worth the purchase! Other reviews have claimed it's still going strong after many uses, so it's probably a toss-up, or maybe it depends on the vehicle you're jump starting.
