Then around 2019/2020, I found a can at a store for the first time and even though it’s just water, it tasted better than any bottled water I’ve ever had. Maybe it was because it stayed colder longer due to being in a metal can, maybe it was just in my head or maybe it really is better. Which reason is true I don’t care and decided it was going to be my go to beverage. Then the flavors came out. Grapefruit, Lime, Watermelon, Orange and Cherry. All sooo good!!!! Then in the Spring of 2025, it all went to hell. As if the switching to the majority of the cases I was buying from 19oz cans to 12oz wasn’t bad enough, they decided to add Stevia to their drinks instead of regular sugar. The taste difference INSTANTLY hit me. I hated it. Apparently I wasn’t the only one because there was a storm brewing online with people hating all over them. I wish they would have made it into a lite or a diet version. Idk. Think of something but don’t ruin a great thing. Thankfully there is a way to tell if you find the cans out in the wild. Next to the bar code, if you see “BALL” you know it’s one of the good ones and definitely should buy it. Take a look at the pictures of the Gravefruit cans I bought. These are still available on desertcart as of January 2026 so thankfully not all hope is lost.
