The tablet is already pretty 'heavy' so the marginal weight from the durable armor is a worthwhile tradeoff. - Portability: Without the keyboard, it is thinner than our work laptops (Dell Precision and Lenovo T400-800 series). With the keyboard, it's just slightly thicker. Obviously, adds a little thickness to the tablet, but this fits all my cases that support a Surface Pro laptop. Just avoid putting too much pressure on the case when packing, as you can potentially mash the keyboard into the screen. Two minor complaints that don't detract from my overall rating: - the 'tab' to pull out the stand out feels a little small/flimsy (sometimes hard to grasp or feels like you'll tear the fabric, but it's held up so far) - The magnetic clasp on the side that keeps the keyboard/tablet 'closed' is kind of weird.
