Howard set out to solve this dilemma: how can you eliminate blemishes in wood finishes and restore the original color and luster without removing any of the existing finish? I have used golden oak for kitchen oak cabinets, and dark oak for 25 year old Minwax 230 Early American stained oak trim, and cherry for an antique cherry dininig room table and they all did not "darken" anything.
