Perfect for camping, backpacking, hunting, travel, backyard BBQs, picnics, and more. Permethrin insect and tick repellent adds an odorless layer of protection to shirts, jackets, pants, socks, shoes, sleeping bags, tents, netting, and other outdoor, camping, hunting, and travel gear. A University of Rhode Island study (2017) found that people wearing Permethrin-treated shoes and socks were 73.6 times less likely to have a tick bite than those wearing untreated footwear. Using it on outdoor gear also helps reduce the mosquito population in your camp and prevents ticks from attaching to you. Permethrin spray bonds to fabric fibers for up to 6 weeks (42 days) of exposure to sun or 6 washings. Sawyer Permethrin does not come out from sweat or water contact. It only degrades via UV exposure or the agitation of a washing machine. Specially formulated not to stain or damage your clothing, other fabrics, gear, and equipment, it's odorless after drying and is as effective as 100% DEET. To apply, spray Permethrin directly onto clothing and gear with a slow sweeping motion, keeping the bottle about 6 to 8 inches away, and treating each side of the garment for about 30 seconds. The EPA recommends using 4.5 ounces of Permethrin to spray each outfit (consisting of shirt, pants, and socks). Maximize protection by pairing with Sawyer Picaridin topical repellent for the skin. Sawyer Products has offered the best, most technologically advanced solutions for protection against sun, bugs, water, and injuries – everything from first aid kits developed for wilderness to point-of-use water filters that filter contaminated water to levels cleaner than U. S. bottled water. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07CD9NFB4 | | ASIN | B07CD9NFB4 | | Best Sellers Rank | #34,852 in Sports, Fitness & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports, Fitness & Outdoors ) #33 in Camping & Hiking Insect Repellent | | Brand | Sawyer | | Country of Origin | USA | | Country of Origin | USA | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (8,818) | | Date First Available | 27 April 2018 | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00050716065725 | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Dimensions LxWxH | 10.2 x 15.2 x 20.3 Centimeters | | Item Form | Aerosol | | Item Volume | 24 Fluid Ounces | | Item Weight | 1 kg 630 g | | Item model number | SP6572 | | Manufacturer | Sawyer Products | | Manufacturer | Sawyer Products | | Manufacturer Part Number | SP6572 | | Material Features | Recyclable Bottle | | Model number | SP6572 | | Net Quantity | 1419.5294 Milliliters | | Product Dimensions | 10.16 x 15.24 x 20.32 cm; 1.63 kg | | Scent | Unscented | | UPC | 050716065725 | | Unit Count | 1419.5294 Milliliters | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sawyer - **Item Form:** Aerosol - **Item Volume:** 24 Fluid Ounces - **Material Feature:** Recyclable Bottle - **Scent:** Unscented ## Images ![Products Premium Permethrin Clothing Insect Repellent - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81drsTLaouL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does the 24 oz twin pack come with a sprayer?** A: I would imagine it does. That's not the package I purchased. **Q: How much permethrin is in the solution? .5%?** A: The solution is 1/2%. The mix is the center range for that chemical and is based of the application onto fabric. **Q: Should I spray it on panties and bra?** A: I would only spray it on clothing exposed to the outside - socks included. You do not need to use it on clothing that is covered by outwear. **Q: I've seen where this has been sprayed on long sleeved shirts & pants! Will it work on summer shorts & shirt sleeved shirts?** A: The use of permethrin is primarily for both mosquitoes and ticks. So when we are talking about ticks I do not think it will offer very much protection because a tick needs to crawl across treated fabric in order to receive a lethal dose. With shorts on they will probably never get to cross that fabric and instead get under the cuff. You could use a good 30% deet or 20% picaridin on skin and clothing to help protect against ticks, also for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are generally repelled by the chemical and you should also use a skin applied repellent at the same time. So there's benefit for mosquitoes but not for the ticks. Your protection from insects with or without a chemical treatment is your clothing and that means to cover most of your body and deny access to your skin by wearing the garments defensibly. I hope this is of some help. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sawyer Products SP6572 Twin Pack Premium Permethrin Clothing Insect Repellent Trigger Spray, 24 oz,Yellow - Sawyer Products SP5762 20% Picaridin Insect Repellent, Continuous Spray, 6 Fl Oz (Pack of 2) - Sawyer Products SP624 Permethrin, Permethrin for Dogs Insect Repellent Treatment --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/722463240-products-premium-permethrin-clothing-insect-repellent](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/722463240-products-premium-permethrin-clothing-insect-repellent) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
