Review: Stunning accent wall! - Purchased this 104 sq ft barnwood for our fireplace wall to replace cheap contractor grade tile, and it is absolutely stunning! It looks like something straight out of a catalog and million dollar home. My husband installed it himself with dap caulk and a nail gun to secure each piece. He did have to replace drywall where the old tile was removed, then painted the entire wall matte black in case the wood had holes or creases. **Q: Can someone recommend what size finishing nails and a good construction adhesive for already painted drywall. Also would I have to scuff up the paint?**
A: I used loctite construction adhesive and 16 gauge brads or a small finish nail. As far as the preconstruction wall. I would wash the wall in advance. I put a quick coat of dark paint down to help in the event there was any showthrough. But if your wall is already painted a color that wouldn’t look bad behind the wood you can start putting up the planks after the washed wall is dry.

**Q: How much would I need for a 6x4 space**
A: that is 24 square feet….so you will need to buy 3 orders of 10 sq  ft

**Q: Would these work on a concrete/cinder block wall? What adhesive would you recommend for that? I don’t want to drill holes in the wall.**
A: I don’t see why it wouldn’t  work as long as you use an adhesive that bonds to wood and concrete, I used liquid nails and I think that would for you too but double check. Mine is held on mostly by adhesive, i used pin nails basically to hold it place while adhesive dried. You would need to make sure pressure is applied till adhesive sets

**Q: Thanks for sample however too dark. Do you have a sample in the weathered white.**
A: You will get a mixture of wood colors.  No way to choose what colors you want.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks Amazing!!

Easy to install with a finish nailer, great color and texture variety in the boards, smooth on the back for consistent mounting, and relatively consistent board width for relatively easy matching in each row. Overall, we are SO happy with this product. If I had to find a complaint, it would just be that you can't order the exact amount you want... you have to piece it together based on the options they allow, and then they didn't ship all of the packs at the same time... got one pack and then had to wait a couple more days for the other two. For example, my wall is 8' x 16'... which is 128 square feet. Well, they offered a 104 sq ft pack, and a 23 sq ft pack, and a 10 sq ft pack. Because we didn't remove the baseboard, and we also allowed 1" of space from the bottom of the last row to the baseboard, we ultimately didn't need that last 10 sq ft pack, but I didn't know that we would end up doing that, plus, I needed to make sure I allowed room for broken or bad boards, so I ordered the 137 sq ft and now need to return the last 10 sq ft that we didn't need. Would have been easier to be able to order 130 sq ft or something more specific instead of piecing together existing offerings and then waiting for all three to arrive separately to start the project, but it all worked out in the end and we love the result.
