We typically run the whole berries thru twice on the finest setting to get the consistency we like. It takes a minute to be sure but we're not in a hurry, we're making bread after all and mill enough to make a couple loaves of sourdough each week. It doesn't get hot when milling and is not overly loud either. Compared to the kitchen aide brand attachment this is a great bargain. Cleaning is also easy and takes just a brief minute to clean up.

This grain mill works very well. Its solidly built and has put us on the path to a healthier diet. We only use it to mill wheat berries for flour.
