**Q: I need 200 feet of copper wire for a project but can’t tell from the description how long this is. Is it at least 200 feet long?**
A: should be approximately 800 ft of 30AWG in a 4oz (1/4lb) spool.  There are charts online that give feet/lb for all the wire gages if you want to confirm.

**Q: How long is the wire?**
A: Good Question, not sure why they do not include this info on the web site.  20awg magnet wire is 3.1lbs per 1000ft or 0.0031 lbs per foot.  The roll is 4oz or 0.25lbs so it should be ~80.6 feet.

**Q: What length of wire is on the spool?**
A: This is in the description:

A: Single strand enameled.  You don't even need pliers to remove the insulation, just a really hot soldering iron tip.

Good thin magnet wire to have on hand for making things (transformers, motor windings, magnets, etc), but also excellent for making repairs and modifications to PCBs. This stuff is easy to get a hold of, so we stock it in the lab. While it doesn't hold up to heat like silicone or teflon coated "white wire", solid core magnet wire is easier to bend into shape on the board, as well as burn off some of the insulation in-situ with your iron. Far preferable to trying to strip 30ga wire.
