January, 1945 . 14-year-old Moshe Kessler steps off the train at Buchenwald concentration camp. Having endured the horrors of Auschwitz-Birkenau, lost touch with his entire family, and survived the death march in the freezing European winter, he has seen more than his share of tragedy. Moshe knows only one thing about Buchenwald. Everyone knows it. If you want to survive, you have to get to Block 66. The Germans are cruel and determined – but they are not prepared for Buchenwald’s secret resistance, which rises up with one mission only: to protect the camp’s children from harm. This is the incredible true story of Moshe Kessler and Block 66 – the children’s block that was at the forefront of one of the most shocking and inspiring stories of Holocaust survival. English is not his mother language. It was well written and he liked it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such a terrible tragedy; such a beautifully told story! *by B***S on 6 July 2023* I was surprised by how this book was written. I thought it was going to be more of a story with dialogue and development, however, most of the book is written in a way that you feel like the events are being narrated to you by a survivor. It's so well done, but it took me about a week to get through it. I'm quite a fast reader, but in this case, I could only read so much at a time. The subject material is heavy and dark and it forced me to slow down and absorb the impact of it through the eyes of someone who was actually there. I 100% recommend this read! ## Frequently Bought Together - The Boy From Block 66: A WW2 Jewish Holocaust Survival True Story (Heroic Children of World War II) - The Lost Bookshop: The most charming and uplifting novel for 2024 and the perfect gift for book lovers! - All the Broken Places: A Novel --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/718804759-the-boy-from-block-66-a-ww2-jewish-survival-true](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/718804759-the-boy-from-block-66-a-ww2-jewish-survival-true) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
