Not sturdy at all. Do not invest in this bed. It was pretty easy to put together and looks like it will last a very long time. It is actually made of wood not particle board or whatever so that is a HUGE quality factor for me. It looks awesome and my daughter loves it. I wish that the drawers had some sort of separator as they are Massive, but if it was really that big of a deal I could easily make my own. The drawers could easily hold spare blankets/comforters or tons of stuffed animals. We use them as a dresser and put some small cubes in to separate the drawer out a bit. This bed frame was exactly what we were looking for for her and she loves it too. One of the screws couldn't reach because the nut in the drawer was pressed deep in the wood but I managed to use a longer one. Other than that assembly was easy and bed is strong enough to carry 200lb.
