He only stopped losing weight after the folks at Gaylord Rehab introduced him to Kate Farm's products, and now -- more than a year later -- Kate Farms products are a staple in our house (any flavor or formula, as long as it's chocolate). **Q: What are the ingredients?  Cherry is in the core essentials. Is it in the meal replacement too?**
A: yes it is

**Q: which formula would be best for acid reflux?**
A: Hello. That would be a good question to ask your nutritionist  or physician. I asked my GI team about that issue, since I've had a partial esophagectomy with gastric pull up and I was told that chocolate can be a trigger for acid refux. So-In the standard 1.0 , I buy the vanilla and chocolate but use the chocolate as a "treat" earlier in the day if I do. I also was graduated to the Standard 1.4 since I have a volume issue and it comes in the vanilla and so I buy that. But keep in mind that with the vanilla you can always add "flavors" to change the taste. Just cannot heat the formulas up. I do hope this helps. I drink these by mouth for now, but they have been the most helpful in many ways! Ask your nutritionist about a discount code on the kate farms site. Mine gave me a 20% off code to use over and over, but only good for vanilla flavors only. Best of luck to you!!!!

Great question, we have 350mg of calcium in our Standard 1.0 (Chocolate and Vanilla), Peptide 1.5 Plain, and Komplete formulas. And our two Pediatric products contain 300mg of calcium in each carton.

When it's hard to eat, these are a good way to go. I don't care for the hidden MSG coming from the "natural flavors' so I went with the plain, thinking it may taste like chalk. I'm pleasantly surprised it actually tastes pretty good, even without adding any pure vanilla extract (I've not felt the need to add anything). Sorry I can't really describe the flavor but it's better than 'plain'. I prefer the less protein version such as this one. YES, I will buy these again and wish the Arizona hospitals would carry the plain in the cafeteria for patients to order. So many junky 'nutrition' shakes out there and these are the best I've found. Value is rather low but it's necessary so what are you gonna do?
