A few years ago I did receive one that had 22awg. 22awg is well capable of handling 5amps of DC current. Keep in mind, these pumps are not designed to operate continuously. I usually get between 2 and 5 months usage with mine used in a high pressure auto watering system (3 seconds on, 300 seconds off, 24/7). **Q: I have a 1.2gal 110psi pump but when i do not open the faucet all the way, it makes a loud rumble noise, do i need a lower psi pump or what?** A: Depends. If it's vibrating it's how it's mounted. Use flexible hoses to/ from the pump for the first few feet. Mount on rubber. Sound deaden area it's mounted in. If it's not vibrating then you could have air in the lines. Otherwise you may want to look into a water accumulator. This will hold a pressurized set amount of water and solve your issue. I recommend using a 3-4 gallon RO water accumulator if you have the space and not a RV specific one as they are very small and way more expensive. **Q: Is the diapragm made of plastic?
