Line input level would be way too hoot.

**Q: For gopros, this mini-usb plug must be 10-pin and have a built in resistor,so the camera knows to switch off the internal mic... does it have that?**

A: No, you need USB TYPE-C connector. This one is Micro Connector

My GoPro HERO4 camera expects a three-ring microphone (as a Mini USB), so this adapter accepts a three-ring, then formats it as a mini USB. I bought the adapter as an extra, because one way to trick the HERO4 camera to not record audio is by plugging an adapter (with no microphone). This way I can have one camera record mic audio, and the other camera record no audio.
