I don't know how many times I have left for work and had to turn around because I reached for something in the cupboard above the stove and wondered if I accidentally turned on the gas . These knob covers install easily after pulling off the stove knobs, pushing on the thumbprint on the cover to open the knob cover and then putting the knob cover in place and replacing the knob and closing the knob cover. When you need to use the burner, just gently push on the thumb print on the knob cover to open the knob cover and turn on the knob.
