However, it is not very effective in preserving ice cubes. It is recommended that you transfer the excess ice cubes for storage. **Q: Why is the ice making time not 6 minutes?** A: On initial power-up, the unit doesn’t cool quickly. Also, high operating temperatures or larger ice sizes extend ice-making time. It takes about 6-10 minutes per cycle. Ice forms faster once the machine stabilizes or with cold water. **Q: How often should you clean the ice maker?** A: Regularly clean the ice machine (weekly recommended). Use the self-cleaning function or deep clean by opening the lid and wiping with a wet towel to prevent mineral and dirt buildup affecting ice taste and cleanliness. **Q: How the water shortage alert works?** A: There is still a small amount of water in the ice maker, but not enough for a cycle of ice making will cause a water shortage reminder. Please add water in time. ## Frequently Bought Together - ecozy Portable Countertop Ice Maker - 9 Ice Cubes in 6 Minutes, 26 lbs Daily Output, Self-Cleaning with Ice Bags, Scoop, and Basket for Kitchen, Office, Bar, Party - Black - Ice Bags 8 lb with Drawstring - 50 Pack Heavy Duty Bags for Ice Machine, Reusable, Storage for Freezers - FireKylin Ice Bags 10 lb with Drawstring,100 Pack Plastic Ice Bags for Ice Storage, BD-003 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.gr/products/711179961-ice-maker-machine-countertop-12kg-24h-2-sizes-of-ice](https://www.desertcart.gr/products/711179961-ice-maker-machine-countertop-12kg-24h-2-sizes-of-ice) --- *Product available on Desertcart Greece* *Store origin: GR* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
