    Great little phones

*by F***E on Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2016*

I bought 2 of these phones at a fraction of what it would have cost me at Walmart, never mind buying it from Verizon. I have nothing but good things to say about this phone...It is an affordable smart phone with a lot of extras. fyi take your phone to verizon for activating and have them put the screen saver on. I destroyed both of mine and finally bought 2 others and brought to Verizon who gladly put them on... PS Verizon does NOT charge for activating these phones.. an "authorized" dealer will charge you $35.00 per line....NOT COOL Use a corporate store. (I do not work for Verizon and actually don't like them, but they work in my area where no one else does) So this review is real and truthful...

This simple phone is great! Good battery life

This simple phone is great! Good battery life. The camera is not the best, but I don't mind. Fun keyboard! Also, great sound surprisingly. Not huge like most smartphones now. Replaceable battery. Love where the screen lock button is - below the volume up and down, so it's easy to turn the screen on and off.

    Quality phone, though little storage

*by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2017*

My son's review: I got this phone when too low on money to get something super nice, I really just needed something that would function as a phone and perform basic functions. Upon receiving the phone I was initially surprised at the build quality and decent-sized screen. I was braced for the 8 GB it offered, though I didn't realize that most of that was taken up by the system itself, leaving me with exactly 3.66 GB of my own. I'm not sure how much bloatware creeps into that amount, I just know I have a very limited amount of apps I can use. Even with the 128 GB Micro-SD card I was able to add, I cannot use that extra storage for more apps. It seems it lets me transfer some of the data to the SD card in the settings, but I am unsure how much that actually helps. The only game I have is an GBA emulator to utilize my SD card space. It does feel funny to be able to fit the 3 season entirety of Avatar: The Last Airbender on my SD card without being able to have more than a couple games. Other than the space, the performance has seemed pretty solid in the last 8 or so months I've had it, a little laggy near the end of the day on occasion, but nothing that is too much of a deal-breaker. The camera's quality is pretty meh, I haven't used it besides taking a picture of the board in school for later reference. It captures the words ok, but isn't good enough for real pretty pictures. The volume is great in a quiet room, meh in a somewhat noisy room, and barely audible in a crowded cafeteria or something similar. I'd say that's fair for what I needed it for anyway. The screen is fairly bright, a little hard to see in broad sunlight, but still readable. The battery is pretty good, though I don't use my phone for games much, so I don't know how well it would work then. I do know when I use it to read books all day I end up with a battery nearly out by the end of the day. Most days though, I end it with a decent 40-ish percent. Better than my Mom's iPhone in that standing, though I'm sure she uses it a lot more. All in all, I'd give the phone a thumbs up, ESPECIALLY considering that I got it for the low-low price of sixty dollars. I couldn't have asked for much better at that price. With a good size screen, nice feel in hand (though slippery without a case), fair battery life, fair speakers, and meh camera, the only real downside is the cramped storage space. This is still mostly a transition phone until you can get something better, because in the long term that 3.66 GB of storage just won't last. I guess one should have expected that at the price-stamp anyway.Side-note: Another thing I disliked about this phone is the HTC interface. This is because I am picky and love the stock android look, so I was disappointed when I dragged down on the top of the screen and found a bunch of clutter, especially all the stuff you see on the top of the screen most of the time with the battery, wifi, data, alarm, and a bunch of other crap. The volume graphic looks meh as well. I thought this was fine, thinking I would just root it and change the OS to look nicer, but after lots of research, I found that this phone is UNROOTABLE. HTC had a mechanism that made it so it would have been easy to unlock the bootloader, but Verizon actually blocked that feature, making it completely impossible. That is especially disappointing considering that could have freed up some of the storage space by removing bloatware on this thing, but nupe. Too bad. I probably care about this sort of thing more than the average person would, so if most of those words went over your head, just don't worry about this part.
