It's designed is based on the famed "Sea Bags" or duffel bags of the marines/army. I found the straps to be weak. When I put 40 pounds of gear in the back and slung it over my shoulders, I audibly heard the stitching from the straps rip. I took off the pack and inspected it, and indeed the stitching connecting the shoulder straps was ripped. I bought this bag thinking it was a durable bag that would hold 40-60 pounds with no problem, but the back is weak. It is not military-grade, thus I am returning. A few other reviewers had similar issues. If you're looking for a bag that can hold 10-15 pounds, this might be suitable for you. Otherwise, I would avoid. Buy a true military surplus duffel instead. ### ⭐⭐ Did not seem as durable as other reviews and description suggest *by T***M on Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2019* I was looking for a durable duffel bag to move kid to college. The straps on the bag seem pretty lightweight. Also the metal hardware for the straps seemed very thin (i.e., not very durable). At $55 it did not seem a good value and I ended up replacing the bag with a different bag from Amazon (Eagle roller bag). Although the Eagle roller duffel was more expensive, it seems much more durable, can still be worn like a back pack, and has a wheeled base. Also, this "Military Army Style" Duffel bag seems less durable than the actual GI surplus gear I have seen in the past (my previous duffel was a surplus GI bag). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New High Quality Military Spec *by G***G on Reviewed in the United States on May 24, 2018* 100% military spec brand new. the bag is slightly stiff since it is new. which is a good thing imo. has a small logo or two on it. i use my military bag everyday and wanted a second better version. i bought this and it met my expectations. if you are debating getting a refurbished military bag i largely suggest you buy this instead.edit: after owning my bag for more than 2 years I stand by my statement. I own several refurbished military bags, but I prefer this one as it came new. I carry 100+ lbs in this bag regularly with no issues. I respect my property, but I'm not exactly gentle with it. I take a few weeks worth of groceries in one haul up to my second story in this bag regularly. I do my laundry from this bag. I shove car parts, motorcycle parts, tools, anything...All the time. I use this bag for motorcycling. If you want a half pack you can run a loop under the backpack straps.
