The brightest mode is visible in daylight and I use it for busy roads. Most often I use the less bright flashing mode which is still highly visible in daylight. I get 2-3 hours of riding time before recharge. The unit has a nifty blue led that flashes on power down if the charge is still ok and shows continuously when charging is complete. Battery is not user replaceable but has a 1 year warranty. (After warranty period it might be possible to DIY a swap, if you have soldering skills.) The clip has a forever warranty - just be sure you install properly and push the unit all the way down after unclipping to recharge. The best thing about this light is that NightRider Customer Service is excellent - very responsive and helpful. I’m on my third Solas 250 and use it for daily commute. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent bike tail light. *by on Reviewed in the United States July 30, 2026* Very bright. I use my own simple custom mount at the back of the rear bike rack I installed. Mounting on the seat post would be no good because of my rear saddlebags. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome light but the strap broke. We attached them to our seat post or helmets. Then, the strap broke thus the 2 star rating. I have contacted the company for a replacement strap. If I hear back from them and they do replace it, I will change my rating to 5 stars. Rating changed to 5 stars.
