The bed physically can’t stay in the down position due to the strength of the dampeners and when it’s in the closed position, the bed falls backwards against the wall. It takes a couple people to assemble but the directions were good enough… it was a little complicated in some spots but we figured it out. It does have a led light that looks really kool. The shock assists that help lift the bed up are really strong which definitely makes putting the bed away easy but we haven’t quite how to keep the bed down when it is not under the wait of a person laying or sitting down.
