The outer shell is thick rubberised plastic that bounces slightly on impact. Opening the flap reveals huge buttons that are easily pressed even when wearing thick winter gloves. The speaker is incredibly loud, almost startling when it rings in a quiet tent, making it impossible to miss calls. Typing text messages takes me back twenty years, pressing the same key multiple times to get a single letter, which gets frustrating quickly. The menu system feels quite clunky and slow to navigate. Call quality is surprisingly clear, picking up signal in areas where other devices struggle.
