I only bought one because I really didn't believe it would make a difference. I was wrong! First it is really pretty in the water. Secondly, it does make a difference from the get go. I was astonished. However, with all that said, do not let the disc be exposed to sun and air and not covered with water. I didn't tend to our birdbath for 3 days and the disc was exposed to the elements and turned burnished which is what copper does naturally. I tried to clean it and return it to the original condition but was not successful. I will reorder at least a 2 pack soon and be more careful. And if I learned anything from Trump's Washington Monument reflecting pool fiasco.....hydrogen peroxide in the bird bath water does not harm the disc and attacks algae growth.
