The problem with that is when I was cleaning it one day my finger nail kind of went into that gap between the plastic and metal and came back with (gross) mold on it! I got a paper clip to clean it out and couldn't believe how much mold kept coming out. I threw the mug out, as much as I loved it I didn't like the idea of drinking mold. Anyway I went on Amazon and searched for mugs that were solid. No plastic around the rim and this one had a lot of good reviews. It does keep my coffee warm for at least 3 hours. No it's not hot, but it is still warm. I did end up buying the handle that goes with it as my fingers are short and I drink my coffee at work and use a computer. I was afraid that someday it would end up slipping out of my hand and spilling on my key board. Anyway I think it's a great mug and looks nice. I took it to church and received a couple compliments on it. I also left it at church and am hoping when I go to get it, that it is still there! If it isn't I will definitely be buying another one! By the way I bought the gold colored one. ### ⭐⭐ Not sure if defective product or just a bad product *by G***S on Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2018* I'm kindof hoping that I might have received a defective product because it would be a shame if this is how the functioning product works. I bought this so I could have iced coffee that would stay ice cold all day while I'm at work. I also needed something that would not leak or condensate as I would be transporting this in a bag with electronics that would be damaged with condensation/leaks. Based on the reviews this seemed like it would be perfect.Unfortunately this product didn't do any of that. I'd fill it with iced coffee around 8am, and by noon all the ice cubes have melted. When I transport the cup I have to make sure it doesn't fall over because when it did fall over in my bag it leaked coffee all over the bottom and onto my stuff. Even when it's sitting on the table, condensation starts to form around the top of the cup near the lid.
