This unit is heavy and has a really good finish and fit about it. I use the unit in smart mode with the fan speed set to minimum and the fan led indicator switched off so I only see a small white and amber LED, so it not distracting. The fan unit does an excellent job of cooling my Onkyo receiver. You can only hear the unit running when there is absolute silence in the room, otherwise it’s whisper quiet on the minimum speed setting. Although these fans are more expensive than say a laptop cooler, the quality is there to see and feel as soon as you lift it out of the box.
