The powerful yet quiet fan draws air through a complex series of filters, including a washable pre-filter, a carbon filter, a medium filter and a thick HEPA filter. This deals with particulates such as dust, pollen and dander. Air is then processed in the reactor chamber. Here, nan filter tubes coated with titanium dioxide react with the UVC lights, creating hydroxyl radicals. These 'super oxidants' destroy the cells of impurities like bacteria, odours and allergens, breaking them down into harmless water and carbon dioxide.
