Feel like I found my way home. *by A***R on December 28, 2025* Regarding Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha Tea: This loose leaf sencha tea is top quality! it's consistently light and sparkly/rich with a delightfully long and clean finish. And when I say long, I mean a lovely taste that lingers for many minutes after an each sip. No bitterness whatsoever, even on a long steep. I've had other sencha and jasmine teas as good, but I find they vary in quality, can be hard to find, are too expensive, not available in loose leaf, or go out of availability. The cup of Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha Tea now on my desk surprises me. I just found it in the back of my cupboard ... dated 2022! That says a lot about its longevity, the airtightness of the tin, and/or that somehow this tea ages like a fine cabernet! Somehow my new tries had pushed it to the back, and now their destined for the compost heap. Brewing is simple. I steep slightly less than a level tea spoon for 4 to 6 minutes. Second and third steeping produce very nice, slightly different tasting cups.
